This book is about the invention of the most important medical advancement in history: The Band-Aid!  Earle Dickson was a cotton buyer for Johnson and Johnson.  His wife was an accident-prone homemaker.  When Earle continuously came home to an injured wife, he knew he had to do something.  That something led to the invention of the Band-Aid!

A really fun book, with a really true history lesson.  The story is written in a humorous way that makes you want to keep reading (even with the multiple fake endings).  This is a great book for anyone who likes to learn fun facts, read silly stories, or likes Band-Aids!

Infographics and Tools to Make Them

    Inforgraphics are a visual way for representing information.  Using them is a good way to draw the eye to information you're trying to get across, and is handy in summarizing information.  There are lots of tools available online that one can use to create one.  Here I will review a few of them and then show you an infographic I made using one of the tools.       First up is Easelly. One can access this tool by visiting https://www.easel.ly/   and creating an account. The basic account is free, but one can upgrade to a pro account if they wish to gain access to additional resources.  The infographic creator is pretty simple to use.  You can start out with a pre-made template and edit how you want.  There are options in lettering, graphs, charts, and media.  You can import your own graphics or even embed items from the internet like Youtube videos. He will be in about a month.   In Prentisstown, when you turn 13 you are officially considered a man.   That and his dog that won’t stop talking is what he’s thinking about while he’s out in the swamp looking for apples.   In the new world everything talks, and everyone has Noise.   The Noise is people’s thoughts put out for everyone else to hear.   It’s just how it is.   It can get pretty deafening in town.   Todd is also the last boy in town.   There are no other children and no women either, just 100+ men.    So it’s pretty startling when he comes across a pocket of silence.   When he approaches, whatever it is runs off.
